Police

The safety and security of the community are paramount. Dedicated police force works tirelessly to ensure a safe environment for all residents.

For non-emergency concerns, you can contact them by phone at 250-766-2288 during office hours or visit in person.

Anonymous complaints or tips can be directed to Crime Stoppers at 250-860-8336 or 1-800-222-8477.

Additionally, they offer various crime prevention programs, such as Block Watch, Child ID, Community Policing, Graffiti Eradication, Regional Crime Prevention, Robbery Prevention, and Seniors Safety & Security. Fire Department

The Lake Country Fire Department is your local emergency response team. We handle fires, medical incidents, alarms, and accidents. We collaborate with regional partners for mutual aid and participate in various rescue operations.

Our team includes 8 full-time staff and 62 on-call firefighters. We have a fleet of 6 fire engines, rescue, ladder, and specialized units. We operate from three fire stations, ensuring swift, round-the-clock response to emergencies in Lake Country.

Stay informed about Central Okanagan emergency activations by subscribing to Regional Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) email notifications. You’ll receive timely updates whenever the EOC responds to an emergency in the Central Okanagan region.

In the event of an emergency or witnessing a disaster, please dial 9-1-1 and request assistance from the police, fire department, or ambulance service. If you accidentally dial 9-1-1, please do not disconnect the call, as all 9-1-1 calls require proper investigation and attention.
